To the Meridian City Council
Please accept this letter in lieu of my absence at the public hearing to be held March 2, 2010 at 7:00 pm. My
family and I reside at 4075 E. Meadow Wood Dr. It is to my understanding that ACHD will be proposing
the extension of Meadow Wood Drive and Green Meadow Drive from our subdivision into the park. I wish to be
put on record that I am against such a proposal. We have lived in this subdivision for 10 1/2 years now. The
attractiveness of our subdivision is that we have the 'country' feel, yet live within the city. We have the best of
both worlds, so to speak. The increase in traffic, if ACHD should have their way, will definitely take away from our
current way of life which includes the aesthetics of living in the 'country' along with the wildlife which accompanies
it, a quiet neighborhood, and safe streets for us and our children. Currently, our streets are without streetlights
and sidewalks. With that said, I would like to add that I find a hammerhead or cul-de-sac at the end of our streets
to be an acceptable solution. The traffic will be minimal, yet access to the park is still allowed. Thank you for your
consideration.
Sincerely,
Jo Ann Rehberg
