(Tammy- Please forward to the other members of the Council. Sorry about the lateness!) Dear Members of Meridian City Council, Due to parenting commitments, I can't be in attendance for the continued public hearing on The Courtyards at Ten Mile on Tuesday evening, but I wanted to provide my thoughts on the developers' proposal to place turning lanes on Ten Mile and W. Pine. I did attend the meeting last week at ACRD, and I was pleased to learn of the turning lane proposal. While it won't solve the need for a traffic signal at this particularly difficult intersection, it will improve the traffic flow until such time as this intersection is developed on the ACRD five-year plan. While I am grateful that the developers took the initiative to propose a compromise, I believe it would be prudent to transform this "proposal" for turning lanes into a "condition" of your approval of this project. Thanks for listening! Sincerely, Irma Atkinson 1124 N. Lightning Place Meridian, ID 9/2/2003
