Since the inception of the design manual, Staff has identified several clerical errors that need to be corrected throughout the document.
In addition, Staff is recommending additional verbiage be added to the Manual that 1) defines the Urban "Downtown Core" boundary
and 2) further clarifies the guidelines contained in the Meridian Design Manual are to be used in conjunction with the Unified
Development Code (UDC). Staff believes the proposed changes to the Meridian Design Manual are necessary to eliminate any
possible confusion between the UDC standards and the design guidelines and further improve the facilitation of the design review
process. Specific changes are outlined in Section 8 of the staff report.
