NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING
MERIDIAN CITY COUNCIL
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of
Meridian will hold a Special Meeting in the Council Chambers at Meridian City
Hall, 33 East Broadway Avenue, Meridian, Idaho, on Wednesday, November
18, 2009 at 8:00 a.m. The Meridian City Council will be holding an Executive
Session (the session is closed to the public) in accordance with Idaho State
• Code 67-2345 (f) - (to consider and advise its legal representatives in pending
litigation). The public is welcome to attend the special meeting, but the
Executive Session will be closed to the public.

The Meridian City Council special meeting was called to order at 8:05 a.m. on
Wednesday, November 18, 2009, by Councilman David Zaremba.
Members Present: Keith Bird, David Zaremba, Brad Hoaglun.
Staff Present: Jaycee Holman, Bill Nary.
Item 1. Roll-call Attendance:
Roll call.

O Mayor Tammy de Weerd
Mayor De Weerd arrived at 8:30 a.m.
Councilman Rountree arrived at 8:22 a.m.
Item 2. Adoption of the Agenda:
Zaremba: I would entertain a motion to adopt the amended agenda.
Bird: I move that we adopt the stated agenda.
Hoaglun: Second.
Zaremba: The stated agenda includes item "c" to the executive session, correct?
Bird: Yes.
Zaremba: A motion and a second. Roll call vote.
Roll Call Vote: Zaremba, aye; Hoaglun, aye; Bird, aye.
THREE AYES. TWO ABSENT. MOTION CARRIED.
Item 3. Executive Session per Idaho State Code 67-2345(1)(c) - (to
conduct deliberations concerning labor negotiations or to acquire
an interest in real property, which is not owned by a public agency)

Bird: I move we go into Executive Session as per Idaho State Code 67-
2345(1)(fl and (1)(c).

Zaremba: We have a motion and a second. Roll call vote.
Roll Call Vote: Zaremba, aye; Hoaglun, aye; Bird, aye.
THREE AYES. TWO ABSENT. MOTION CARRIED.
Executive Session: Into Executive Session at 8:05 a.m. and out of Executive
Session at 12:45 p.m.
Bird: I move we adjourn the Executive Session.
Zaremba: Second.
Rountree: It has been moved and seconded to come out of Executive Session.
All those in favor. Discussion?
Nary: Mr. President, Members of the Council I just want to make note for the
record for the Executive Session this morning that Council President Rountree
arrived at 8:22 a.m. and Mayor De Weerd arrived at 8:30 a.m. Mayor De Weerd
excused herself from the Executive Session approximately 12:10 p.m. and
Council Member Bird recused himself at approximately the same time at 12:10
p.m. and that Council Member Hoaglun had to leave the Executive Session,
excuse himself at approximately 12:35 p.m.
Zaremba: And our current time is 12:46 p.m.
Rountree: Mr. Bird you had a comment?
Bird: Oh, I was just making a motion to adjourn.
Rountree: It has been moved and seconded to adjourn. All those in favor say
aye.
ALL AYES. MOTION CARRIED.
MEETING ADJOURNED AT 12:46 P.M.
