HomeMy WebLinkAboutArchitectural Fee Proposal by JGT Architecture for Storey Park Upgradese-mail: jgtarch~micron.net SCOPE OF WORK -The scope. of work shall consist of the preparation of construction drawings as discussed in the meeting with JGT Architecture PA on November 4, 2002. JGT Architecture shall provide drawings to obtain a building permit and for bidding purposes for the site design -and pitched roof addition to the maintenance building. JGT Architecture shall provide a code review, to verify code requirements are met for the 2000 International Building Code. JGT Architecture shall provide civil and architectural drawings as required by the city of Meridian to obtain a building permit for this project. CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTATION SERVICES Upon approval of this proposal, JGT Architecture shall proceed with the review and preparation of architectural and civil construction drawings. Drawings and specifications will be in sufficient detail for securing a building permit and for bidding and construction purposes. JGT .Architecture PA will follow .the project through completion to address any questions or concerns. REIMBURSABLE EXPENSES The following costs shall be reimbursed at cost plus 10% and are not included in the Fee for Professional Services: 1. Reproduction /printing costs. .ADDITIONAL SERVICES When specifically requested,; work not described above shall be performed as additional services. Additional services will be billed at a rate of $75.00/hr. This work may include, but is not limited to: 1. Making revisions in drawings, specifications, or other documents,. which are due to causes beyond the control of our firm. 2. Preparation of record drawings or transferring as-built blueprint information to the original drawings. 3. Construction observation. 4. Submittal to the City of Meridian for plan review. 5. Providing other. services not included in this proposal.. RISK ALLOCATION In recognition of the relative risks, rewards, and benefits of the project to both the Owner and the Architect, the risks have been allocated such that the Owner agrees that, to the fullest extent permitted by law, the Architects total liability to the Owner for any and all injuries, claims, losses, expenses, damages, or claim expenses arising -out of this Agreement, from any cause or causes, shall not exceed the amount of the Architect's fee. Such causes include, but are not limited to the. Architect's negligence, errors, omissions, strict liability, breach of contract, or breach of warranty. FEE SCHEDULE CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENT SERVICES ...................................... $ 5750.00 If the Risk Allocation is not acceptable, add $500.00 to the fee ....., .............. 500.00 TOTAL FEE (filled in by client according to risk allocation acceptance) ... BASIS FOR COMPENSATION , Statements will be;submitted monthly based on completed work for services./ reimbursable expenses and are due and payable when rendered. Statement shall be considered PAST DUE if not paid within 30 days of the statement date. A service charge of 1.5% per month will be assessed for late and unpaid billings.
