Bill, the staff report looks great, thanks.
Look over the attachment and see if that would work to add it as an exhibit to the DA in lieu of
the CZC. I think all we would have to do is to stipulate that a building permit will not be issued
unless the house is built within the building envelop of exhibit D.
Trust me, that I am more interested in maximizing future development potential for the property
than the City is. So regardless of whether you required it or not, I would be building the home
within the defined setbacks. It would make no sense for me to build a house preventing
access to the rest of the property.
Hopefully we can make the exhibit work as an additional item to the DA.
Let me know your thoughts so we can prepare for the hearing.

Attached are the Planning ~t Zoning Commission's recommendations and the Staff Report for the
proposed 61 Annexation (File #AZ-09-006). These items are scheduled to be on the City Council
agenda on November 10, 2009. The public hearing will be held at City Hall, 33 E. Broadway Avenue,
beginning at 7:00 pm. Please call or a-mail with any questions.
Jake -Please submit any written response you may have to the recommendations in the report to
the City Clerk's office (jholman@meridiancit~org, mhill@meridiancity.org, and
jjones@meridiancity.org) and myself (e-mail or fax) as soon as possible.
