Re: Meridian Municipal Center
Program Update
ZGA Job No. 0317
Dear Mayor DeWeerd,
It was a pleasure to meet with you, Councilmember Bird, and
David Logan last week to discuss the next step in the finalization
of the updated program document for the Meridian Municipal
Center. The potential participation in the project by Ada .County
would certainly augment the range of services that could be offered
to all Meridian residents.
During the meeting, it was proposed that tenant space offered to
the County might be in the range of 20,000 S.F. overall, which
might include a magistrate court and associated staff/support
spaces, DMV offices, and other administrative areas.
Based upon that meeting it is our understanding that ZGA will
meet with Mr: Logan to define specific requirements for County
tenant space and to incorporate that- information into the current
program document update exercise.
Proposed Scope of Work
We are submitting the following proposal for modifying the
updated City of Meridian Program and Space Needs Analysis to
include the anticipated Ada County space requirements.
We propose the following services:
I. Review' and Incorporate Ada County Needs: ZGA will
review, with a designated representative of Ada County,
their current and anticipated staff and facilities needs
relative to the services expected to be accommodated in a
new Meridian municipal facility. DepartmentaUfacilities
adjacency requirements will be reviewed and defined as

necessary, yielding a current and projected relationship
determination. The results of this review would be recorded
and included in the City of Meridian Program and Space
Needs Analysis.
II. Incorporate Survey Data: This effort would constitute the
review and inclusion of survey data sheets for each
individual- Ada County program space. ZGA -would
revise the previously generated survey data information as
necessary to support the current program needs.
III. Appendix: The appendix would be updated to include
documentation of meetings held with the designated
County representative.
Compensation
Compensation for services described under each of the items above
would be as follows:
Item I: $2,,500 time and materials, not-to-exceed.
Item II: $1,500 time and materials, not-to-exceed.
Item III: Included in items I -III above.
Total Compensation (Items I, II, and III): $4,000.00 time and
materials, not-to-exceed.
