Message Mayor Tammy de Weerd and City Council Members, I am writing to ask for a request for
reconsideration regarding the City Council's approval of the temporary classroom located on
the grounds of Paramount Elementary School. (Aug 25 Meeting, Item #8 - AP 09-002) The
Meridian school district failed to follow the procedures and failed the residents of Paramount.
This shows their lack of consideration to Paramount residents and the CCR's of Paramount.
Instead or working on the issues addressed by the Planning and Zoning staff, the district
circumvented the process and went straight to the Meridian City Council for approval. The
district needs to be held account table for their actions and needs to following the guidelines
just as any other resident. We are only asking for the Request for Reconsideration so we as
residents can be engaged in the process, just as we should have been from the beginning. We
initially expressed our concerns with the Superintendant of the district and there was no
response. The mobile structure has us as homeowners, which border Paramount Elementary,
concerned in the following ways: Paramount Elementary is a new school, the need for a
mobile structure to us seems extremely premature and the mobile structure as it, stands is an
eyesore (the color and the structure itself resembles a mobile home) and we are concerned it
will affect our property values. Please consider this request, so we as residents can mitigate
