HomeMy WebLinkAboutTask Order No. 10081 with SPF Water Engineering for Well 9 Evaluation and RehabilitationTASK ORDER NO. 10081 CITY OF MERIDIAN (OWNER) AND SPF WATER ENGINEERING (HYDROGEOLOGIST) This Task Order is issued by Owner and accepted by the Hydrogeologist pursuant to the mutual promises, covenant and conditions contained in the Agreement between the above named parties dated August 14, 2009. CITY OF MERIDIAN WELL #9 EVALUATION AND REHABILITATION PURPOSE The Hydrogeologist's scope of services, time of completion and compensation shall be as set forth herein. Services shall generally be described as Hydrogeological Consulting Services. TASK 10081 -EVALUATION AND REHABILITATION OF WELL #9 The Hydrogeologist's scope of services shall include the following subtasks. Some of the subtasks may be determined to be unnecessary based on the results of evaluation of the well. Subtask 1. Evaluate available well documentation and monitoring data, The Hydrogeologist will meet with City staff to discuss well performance concerns and gather available well and pump performance data. Well construction logs, pump documentation, maintenance records, water level monitoring data, production data, and other available records will be analyzed. If available data do not indicate there has been a measurable loss of productivity, the Hydrogeologist will provide recommendations for continued long-term well performance monitoring and future performance reviews. If available data indicates there has been a measurable loss of productivity from the well or pump, additional work will be recommended as described in the following subtasks. Subtask 2. Verification of Pump Performance. If available data indicates there has been a measurable loss of productivity from the well or pump, the Hydrogeologist will perform testing to verify pump performance. Testing will include measurement of water levels, flow rates, and discharge pressures using existing well house equipment. Pumping water levels will be measured at various flow rates. if possible. Hydraulic losses will be estimated from as-built drawings andlor visual observation of discharge piping. If the loss of productivity is pump related, the Hydrogeologist will provide recommendations for servicing or replacing the pump. If the loss of productivity is not pump related, additional work will be recommended as described in the following subtasks. Actual completion time will be dependent an receipt of available data from the ner, water quality labaratory results, and contractor availability for pump removal, video surveys, well cleaning, and pump reinstallation work. COMPENSATION The Not to-Exceed amount for this Task Orcler No. 10081 is thirteen thousand dollars ($13,000.00), based on the following budget for each Subtask. Subtask 1. $2,600 Subtask 2. $1,000 Sub#ask 3. $2,300 Subtask 4. $900 Subtask 5. $3,500 Subtask 6. $700 Subtask 7. 2 000 $13,000 The hourly rate for services and direct expenses is per the attached Prevailing Fee Schedule Effective January 1, 2009, and by this reference made a part hereof. Compensation does not include laboratory fees for water quality analyses and contractor fees for video surveys, pump removaUreinstailation, and well cleaning. The Owner will contract directly with the laboratory and contractor(s) for their services.
