Item #5- Request for Street Name Change for Meridian/Kuna Road.
The Ada County Engineer is requesting that the portion of Meridian/Kuna from south of
Overland Road to King road be renamed Meridian Road. The purpose of the request is to address
inconsistencies in street naming that affect emergency services. 911 Dispatch supports the
request to eliminate as it will eliminate confusion for first responders.
The details of the request is included in a staff report prepared by Ada County Development
Services and has been provided to the Commission.
MMC Section 8-2-5 D.2 Authorizes the Commission the consider changes to street names
"necessitated due to duplication, similar pronunciation or spelling ".
