Summary of Public Hearing:
The applicant’s representative, Billy Ray Strite, testified in favor of the application.
No other public testimony was presented at the hearing
Key issues of discussion and questioning by Commission included:
1. Whether or not the proposed parking spaces should be allowed to be 17 feet
deep instead of 19 feet, the standard ordinance requirement.
2. Amending the conditions of approval to acknowledge the revised plans and
letter received from the applicant.
Key Commission Changes to Staff Recommendation:
Conditions 2, 6, and 7 of the staff report were either modified or deleted to
acknowledge that the required items had been submitted by the applicant and the
conditions had been fulfilled.
Condition 3 was modified to allow 17 foot deep parking stalls wherever they abut a
sidewalk at least 7 feet wide, instead of requiring 19 foot stalls.
Condition 8 was modified to clarify that landscape improvements were one of the
requirements to be installed prior to permanent occupancy of the bank.
Outstanding Issues for City Council:
None, unless Council desires to address the parking stall dimensions.
