THIS TASK ORDER, entered Into this day of .2009, behveen City of Meridian, Idaho, hereinafter referrer to as
the °CITY°, J-U-B ENGINEERS. Ina . hereinafter referred to as the ENGINEER, is subject to the provisions of the Agreement for
Engineering Service for Water, Wastewater, end Miscellaneous Public Worics Projects, approved January 1, 2007, hereinafter
referred to as the MASTER AGREEMENT for PROFESSIONAL SERVICES.
WITNESSETH:
WHEREAS, the CITY intends to complete Phase 2 of the Downtown Sewer Studv, hereinafter referred to as the PROJECT;
NOW, THEREFORE, the CITY and J-U-B ENGINEERS. Inc in consideration of their mutual crnrenarris herein agree to respect
as set forth below.
CITY INFORMATION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The CITY will provide to ENGINEER the data and/or services specified in the AGREEMENT.
In addition, the CITY will fumLah to ENGINEER items listed in Section 1 of Attachment A°.
SCOPE OF SERVICES TO BE PERFORMED BY ENGINEER:
ENGINEER will provide those services described in Attachment A .
SCHEDULE OF WORK TO BE PERFORMED:
ENGINEER will perform said services in a timely manner.
BASIS OF FEE AND B1WNG SCHEDULE:
The CITY will pay ENGINEER for its services and reimbursable expenses as follows: , On a time end ma;e~ia~ basis with an
estimated budget as shown on Attadrment °B°.

Section 2 -Attachment "A° -Scope of Engineering Services
The ENGINEER shall furnish the services specifically limited to the following:
1. Task 1-Future Condition Model_Development, Analysis, and Phasing. Plan
1. Supplemental Survey Information: As specifically requested by the City, complete field survey of
manholes rim elevations to supplement the City's on-going record data collection.
2. Existing System
a. Combine manhole information -use priority with input from City staff

ii. Cnril Survey survey
iii. City depths
iv. Cty GIS
v. Supplement rim elevations w/ contours as needed
vi. interpolate inverts as needed
Note: track source of data
b. Move GIS system to new surveyed mh's
c. Review flaw data and determine infiltration rates from data
3. Parcel Data
a. Obtain most recent parcel data from City
b. Obtain most recent downtown land use planning information from City. Generalize land use
from available MDC and City zoning and develop diurnal curves for the Zoning District:
i. Old Town
ii. Community Business
iii. General Retail/Service Commercial
iv. Limited Office
v. Light Industrial
vi. Residential R-4, R-8, and R-i5
c. Meet wJ planners to discuss downtown plan and any tentative/expect~l projects. Jointly
develop assumptions on building heights and floor usage.
d. ]oin planned land use service areas and system layers.
4. Review Meridian RoadJMain Street Couplet Corridor System
a. Using future land use and updated parcel and system information, a model run will be made
to analyze couplet corridor system for critical modifications.

b. Meet with the Gty to review results of the analysis, and perform model runs based on input
received at the meeting.
5. Future System Model
a. Layout conceptual collection system with assumptions to eliminate existing alley sewers in a
GIS compatible database format. Meet wFth City staff to review future collection system
layouts and revise based on input received.
b. Develop future system and model based on:
c. Capacity of existing system
d. Locality of sewer in ROW
e. Condition and age of the system as that information is determined by the Qty as
recommended in Task 3. Model collection lines to analyze impact of future flows on existing
system and size new collection sewers.
f. Review encroachment of reserve capacity on the existing trunk sewers which serve the study
area. Flows estimated in the 2005 Sewer Master plan will be used to estimate baseline future
flows in the trunk sewers.
g. Prepare master planning map, and results maps showing future sizing of collection system,
bottlenecks, reserve capacty, etc.
2. Task 2 -Deliverables
1. Prepare the following draft deliverables for the City's review summarizing work performed, results
and recommendations. Deliverables will include:
a. Three (3) k~pies Draft Downtown Sewer Study Technical Memorandum which will include
the following elements: Executive summary, existing system, flow monitoring results,
future land use summary, modeling summary, future collection system and relief analysis,
phasing and capital improvement plan, and summary recommendations.
b. Master Plan Map
c. Phasing/Capital Improvement Plan Map
2. The ENGINEER will meet with Cty staff to review and incorporate the Cis comments in the
final deliverables which will incude:
a. Six (6) copies of the Downtown Sewer Study Report including all exhib'~ts.
b. Six (6) copies of the Masher Plan and Capital Improvement Plan Maps.
c. Electronic copies (pdf) of the report and maps.
d. Electronic copies of the model with runs for existing and future conditions.
