Dear Mr. Sarkany:
This letter is to follow-up our phone conversation regarding your faxed letter on this date to
Mr. Greg Curtis, District Foreman for Nampa & Meridian Irrigation District. Quite a few
things caught my eye regarding this faxed letter. I feel perhaps I need to help educate you
concerning the Nampa & Meridian Irrigation District's review process.
The first information received from Toothman-Orton Engineering Co. was on December
20, 2007. At this time you chose to issue a personal check for the District's Land Use
Change Application. In the instructions included with the application it explains there
will be a delay if using a personal check. That delay can be anywhere from ten (10) to
fifteen (15) working days to allow the check to be processed (cleared by the bank) before
the District will proceed.
And again your firm delivered revised, unsolicited plans on February 7, 2008. Our
engineer review time has also been stated as three (3) to five (5) week period before the
District can respond to blueprint engineering plans.
I am not familiar with the many phone calls that you have made in the past three months
period since it hasn't been three months that you have been working on this. It has actually
been somewhat shorter than a little over two months.

system. Since the plans have been approved the final process is a License Agreement with the

Once this agreement has been signed by your client and returned; it will be presented to the

There is an existing License Agreement for piping and relocating Nampa & Meridian Irrigation
District's Kennedy Lateral for the above -mentioned proposed project. All other encroachments
must be reviewed and approved.
An Addendum to the existing License Agreement for all landscaping and encroachments is
required before approval of the Final Plat will be given.
All storm drainage must be retained on site. All laterals and waste ways must be protected.
