Addressing this to you personnel for the City Council meeting coming
up in behave of the CHERRY ".LANE GOLF COURSE and Wally and Nita Lovan also.
I would think this council and people would have played enough golf to know'
that any course the fitat year is never in top shape. After being a member
one of the first of Grane Creek and also Eagle Hills than over to Cherry
Lane I can't see that the problem bn~ht to issue is right at all. I feel
the course over there is as good of a shape as any new course can be in fact
some better really.
Also the sprinkling system is never right for at least two or three
years. Takes time to see how they will work at the spot and all so feel
someb~ is jumping the gin on it also. If you don't believe me come and
look at Eagles, Hills on the back nine and espically around # 18 hole and
see how it works there and in fact they carry a hose to it several times
in the summer trying to green dot up and all.
The story going around is that suppose to be going to Ue~mon Law
is this the reason for the problems now to get out of the deal easy and
all? I really feel that Wally and Nita Lovan hasn't been given a fair
chance on this ~eourse at all for being a new one and all.
I do hope that both you the council and mr. Don Leavitt think this
over for the situation that is going on, due to the pettiness of people
like playing from their back door-and being called down for that, plus
letting the dogs run loose on the course, and letting these little things
make excuses for taking the Lovan's out of the course after knowing the
hours they have put in their and also their money too. For a man that
grew up in meridian and has done alot for the town in-his PASTED and also
was chosen for the "man of the Year" once he must be a good person somehow
for that honor and now to be let down by the city fathers plus a oursider
doesn't look right in most of the people eyes. So lets give the Lovan's
another year of try on the course before the towel gets throwed in..
