Dear Sirs:
I represent A.W.B. Industries and Lightfield Bros*, Construction in
Cherry Lane Tillage. Together we have built eight (8) homes in so
far and have three (3) starts going. I have had six (6) sales and
have an entry in the 1979 Parade of Homes. I personally have been
in Cherry Lane Village from 12 Noon until Daxk for the last 12 days.
During this time we have had at lease seven Thousand (7,000) people
out to see our two (2) Parade of Homes in Cherry Lane.
For the most part the people seem to be favorable to this area but
there were some adverse comments that I think should be brought to
your attention. People were aware of some water problems with the
golf course earlier and wondered if these problems had been corrected.
Also, I had a number of people ask me if and when the second nine (9)
holes would be put in and who would be taking care of the golf course.
°`~'ou might be aware that Indian Lakes was supposed to be an eighteen
(18) hole golf course and ended up only nine (9) holes with very slow
selling homes. This is only part of a possible problem. I just cannot
understand why the lady running-the club house is so adversely nega-
tive toward the axea and you as developers, I have been into the
club everyday to get something to eat or drink and without any delay
she immediately tells me and anyone inside the club how bad .the
golf course is and that there will never be a second nine (9) holes.
T have tried to avoid her and do not even know her-name. Her persis-
tence to air negative opinions I feel is very damaging to my selling
effort, T personally have never shown a client or a new home pur-
chaser the club house and never would for this lady would do her
best to upset my clients on the proposed outcome of-the golf course.
I feel that this problem should be resolved immediately to enable
me to do my best in selling lots to builders and selling my builder's
homes. I have enjoyed working with you in the past in '_~!illstream
where T listed and sold 24 homes and Glenfield Manor where I have
already built 8 homes and Cherry Lane where T project 25 homes.
