Pine Avenue ,_ Meridian, Idaho 83642 t~a.y 22, 1979 Mr. Earl Ward Department of Sanitation City; of Meridi~.n Meridian, Idaho 83b42 Dear Earl: ;; ` During the reconstruction of West Pine Avenue in the summer and fall of 1978, Bexco Company installed a storm drain the under the street and near the north side of th® street. During this installation of the drain tile, it was discovered that the the was running on a "collision" course with my home sewer line at 644 W. Pine Avenue. My sewer line comes from the rear of my house to the street, and`®xtends past the center of the street to where it connects to the trunk. "~ The sewer line was removed and reconnected several times during the install- ation of the storm drain line. The sewer line wa.s, finally, installed and coW®red ups and the street was, eventually, paved. I do not know what arrange- ment'was made to overcome the "collison" course. On April 6, 1979 my sewer line became plugged. I called the ;, Roto-Rooter people at 305 k'. Franklin, Meridian. They promptly cleared . the .sewer line, and found the stoppage at the connection.to the trunk under the stye®t. Since the trouble occurred at the point of connection, I consider this expense, and the expense of any future similar occurrences, to be the responsibility of the City of Meridian, and/or Ada County H3.ghway District.
