To Planning and Zoning,
I am writing. on behalf of my wife and myself to express our strong
°y support for the establishment of Flow aquatics in Meridian. Growing up
in Idaho and around the many ditches, rivers, and streams that
4~ti •~_ surround our communities, I have a strong understanding of the need

~ time to grab him, my friend had slipped down the side and was
°'~-~ clinging to some weeds to keep himself from going into the water.
~; Having learned to tread water at a neighbor's pool, T didn`t
r"Y~ understand his extreme panic. Before long, his mom came running out
-~ pulled him to safety. He was shaking and his mom was very upset.
~ When I asked why it was so scary she said that he did not know how
to swim and that if he had slid into the water, he could have died.
Even as a small child, I remember thinking how strange it was that my
~y friend was so afraid. As I had learned to swim, falling into that ditch
x~~< would most likely not have been life threatening to me.

Dear Commissioners:
I am writing in hopes that you will vote to rezone the properly of Premier Aquatics
Center so this valuable business may move forward with its operation. I have been
involved with Shannon Hamrick and F1owAquatics since its beginning. I have watched
Shannon's gentle ways introduce water safety and swimming instruction to not only my
child but many others.
F1owAquatics is a valuable asset to the community of Meridian. Teaching children how
to swim is a life saving lesson. My brother drowned in our pool when I was a child
growing up in San Diego. I know the value of swim lessons. For this reason, I sought
out a facility for my one year old to gain water safety knowledge. Living in Boise at the
time, I checked out many facilities before finding F1owAquatics. The half hour drive
during rush hour traffic did not detour me from making it out to Meridian every week
because Shannon was worth it. The children all had fun, never being pushed beyond
what they could handle and, at the same time, they learned.
I've watched FlowAquatics grow over the years and have referred several people myself.
I am happy to see more people take advantage of this facility and know it is a dream of
Shannon's to be able to offer the community of Meridian the Premier Aquatics Center.
Think of how many lives can be saved by allowing the opening of this facility.
Sincerely,

Re: Support of In-Door Aquatics Center in Meridian Idaho
To whom it may concern:
I am writing to express my gratitude towards Coach Shannon Hamrick and the Flow
Aquatics Program and my support for the building of a new facility that would not only
benefit the community but countless individuals.
Our family experience is one example of how the "learning to swim" program with
FLOW Aquatics has benefited lives. My daughters had a serious fear of water and we
faced the possibility of a life threatening situation when they were accidentally pulled
into a pool at a friend's house. Knowing their great fear, but also knowing that learning
water safety and how to swim. was a life skill that my children must learn, I searched' for
a program that would work with my children at their level. I found FLOW Aquatics.
FLOW Aquatics gave them the safety skills and beginning swimming skills in a fun and
non -threatening environment. Their fears are gone and have been replaced. with
confidence in the water, and an understanding of water safety.
The new facility will make it much easier to accommodate more students, with more
classes available at more convenient times. I am excited about the features of the new
facility and the programs FLOW Aquatics provide.
Thank you for the opportunity to share my thoughts with you.
Sincerely,
Theresa Jenkins

Dear Meridian Planning and Zoning Commissioners,
I am writing in support of the proposed Indoor Flow Aquatics facility on Linder and Pine.
As a parent and former lifeguard, I find it critical that children learn to swim in a safe environment with
all the possible tools for safety and success. Flow Aquatics will give children that opportunity and a
choice in this Valley that is seriously lacking. For someone looking for year round swim lesson options in
the Valley there are limited choices and another option in a consistent location will allow more families
the ability to have safe outdoor fun in the valley.
My experience with another year round swim facility was highly scary to me and FLOW has allowed me
to feel confident my children are safe and eared for during swim lessons. At another local facility that
offers year round swim lessons I had the experience of an instructor have my child, who was 3 and could
not swim, stand on the steps and blow bubbles while she consulted with another instructor. This young,
mostly untrained instructor left 6 children in water to their chins to check on something. My children
have. both. been at.FLOW for ~ years and we have. never experienced an instructor leaving a child,
FLOW allows mean option and safe place for my children, and having their facility closer to our home
makes it that much easier. Facilities like FLOW are best served close to their customers, and a facility in
Meridian, where there isn't a comparable facility year round is a great asset for both the city and those
that need a good swim option for their families.

Dear Sir or Madam:
I would like to offer my highest endorsement fox the proposal to develop and construct a new
Premier Aquatics Center in Meridian. 'T'his type of development would greatly enhance the local
economics within not only Meridian, but the Treasure Valley as a whole. It would also provide an
accessible, worthwhile, community based aquatic fitness center that serves to improve local
swimmers and those who desire to be swimmers.
As a long term customer of FLOW/ Aquatics, both my son and I have learned how to greatly
improve our swimming techniques. My son took one-on-one instruction with Shannon Hamrick
several years ago and directly employed his skills in the local swimming leagues and competitions.
Much of the confidence and enthusiasm he now displays in' the water is a direct result of the
coaching and swirnm~Ig lessons he received at FZOW/Aquatics.
I am presently one of Shannon Hamrick's clients. Shannon has completely revolutionized my
swimming technique as I prepare to compete ~in the upcoming. Boise Ii-onMan (70.3), to lie held in
June of 2009. She has instructed and coached not only myself but well over a dozen of my training
partners and friends in the Boise area. Everyone that I know who has gone thru one her clinics,
workshops, or on-going coaching sessions has nothing but praise for the techniques that she teaches.
Although Shannon runs an existing facility in Meridian, her customer base certainly warrants the
proposed improvements and expansion of an Aquatics Center. Shannon Hamrick is a master at
teaching everyone the fundamental skills of becoming one with the water. An upgraded Aquatics
Center will greatly increase her ability to reach more and more of our community in a very positive
and healthy way. The diversified customer base that she reaches includes the young, the old, athletes,
and those who require rehabilitation in the medium of water. Your quick and decisive efforts in
approving this proposal will greatly enhance a solid business that is nothing short of a positive
experience for all.
Sincerely,
Brian Shields

Planning and Zoning Dept. in Meridian,
We would just like to say that Flow Aquatics has made a huge
change in our lives. With out the patients of Shannon, and her
unusual swimming technique, our daughter would of never of
learned to swim. We have tried many other swimming teachers
before Shannon. But only to have our daughter even more terrified
then before. Our little girl was so afraid, that even getting her hair
wet under the shower was a huge problem! But I must say that
swimming is not only a joy, but a must to learn for survival. How
many children each year drown, because they didn't know how to
swim. We felt our daughter had to get over her fears. And she did
with Shannon's help. Now or daughter is able to swim like a fish.
She loves the water, and is no longer afraid. I can not tell you the
joy that brings to us.
I would recommend Shannon and Flow Aquatics to any parent
with a child who is in need of some extra support for learning how
to swim. Or even for an adult for that matter.
Having an establishment like this, will only be a huge plus to the
communuty.

Our children had taken lessons at Flow Aquatics for about a year and a half. They started when
_ they were in preschool. Coach Shannon taught our young children how to save themselves if they
;~ ever fell into deep water. She taught them the survival skills that are absolutely necessary for
children. She spent a lot of time focusing on the basics before they actually learned how to
swim properly. We were so grateful for our experience with her. We had the peace of mind of

exactly what to do.

The Flow Aquatics program is a must to our community here in Meridian. Their dedication and

Dear Zoning Board:
We are writing to express our view regarding the matter of allowing Flow Aquatics to
occupy their desired location in Meridian with a new aquatic center for families. We
respectfully request that you grant the zoning change that would allow the center to be
built in Meridian.
Our family has been participating in Flow Aquatics swim classes for the past several
years. We have been so committed to Shannon and her program that .we've followed.the
classes all over Boise and Meridian as the pool venue had to change for one real estate
reason or another. The thought of having the center in a constant location with state of the
art facilities is very appealing.
Allowing the center in Meridian would represent the latest example of the city's
extension of its progressive plan of gentrification. Further, it would represent support of a
public safety initiative. The children in Shannon's classes start as apprehensive, fearful,
and in some cases feel panic at the thought of being in the water. After time in her class
they are going off the diving board into fifteen feet of water. The peace of mind this gives
to parents is priceless.
Finally, we would endorse Shannon as a great teacher, honest business woman and
person of impeccable values and background.
Sincerely,
Ron and Sara Gambassi

Re: Proposal for the rezoning - In-Door Aquatics Center
Dear Commissioners:
It is my understanding that you will be reviewing a rezoning proposal from FLOW
Aquatics which would provide the first, in-door Aquatics Center in Meridian, Idaho.
I am writing the letter in support of said proposal.
I should say that I am a Boise resident. I must add that I have no contact with Shannon
other then through my children's swimming lessons, but think so highly of her
organization that I wanted to write a letter in support of it. I would be thrill if it were
opening its doors in my neighborhood.
Two of my children have taken swimming lessons at FLOW Aquatics. Previously, they
had taken lessons at the YMCA and. TRS. My children not only enjoyed FLOW.Aquatics
the best, but it was the most organized and taught the best techniques.
Shannon was always warm and welcoming to all the families. She has a wonderful
community spirit.
There is no doubt in my mind that the people in your community will benefit greatly from
FLOW-Aquatics presence and you will be adding to the Meridian community by
allowing them to open their doors there.
Thanks you.

Meridian City Planning and Zoning Commissioners,
Flow Aquatics is recognized and proven as an extraordinary service to the whole
community. Shannon and her staff offer attainable water skills to all ages from small
children to the elderly. They nurture confidence in swimmers no matter what their level
or capability.
Swimming is a skill that may be utilized and enjoyed for a complete lifetime. It is also a
safety necessity while raising children. Flow Aquatics lessons enhance relaxation and
comfort in the water. Shannon's team teaches youngsters to love and respect water and
enjoy the thrill of water exercise that is so important for today's children. Injured and
elderly people also benefit from Shannon's experienced training and facility. Swimming
is an activity that may be utilized as therapy and because it is not physically impactive
may be enjoyed throughout our lives.
The Treasure Valley is home to a robust and increasing physically competitive
population. Last year the Iron Man organization held their inaugura170.3 mile race in
Boise. Shannon offered a series of training opportunities for athletes to learn and
improve their efficiency and grace in the water. She provided fun and encouraging water
drills that generated incredible results for many competitors, including me.
The new facility that Flow Aquatics is planning is in a prime location to accommodate
students and parents who wish to develop their water skills. It will use state-of-the-art
energy efficient technology and be an example for other budding businesses.
Flow aquatics will grow and continue to provide the community with a necessaty service.
As it develops, more and more people of all ages will reap the benefits of exercising safe
and healthy water skills.

From: Casey Byington <kcklobas@hotmail.com>
To: Shannon Hamrick <Shannon@FLOWAquatics.com>
To Whom It May Concern,
Our 20-month old daughter has been swimming with FLOW Aquatics now for 2
semesters. We are so impressed with Shannon and her team of instructors. Our
daughter has confidence in the water, and is truly learning water safety skills that
will last her a lifetime. We are asking for support in her endeavors to expand her
services to an aquatic center located in Meridian. The benefit of having her own
center would reach many families and many children of the Meridian community
and belyond. We believe she is doing everything possible to make her new facility
green and energy efficient, which are huge factors in today's world. We think
Shannon's swim classes are amazing and we know that the expansion of a new
facility would only help to enhance what she is already accomplishing with all of
the children she works with. Please consider all of the benefits this facility will
bring, and keep in mind all of the families that Shannon has already successfully
helped with introducing their children. to the water.
Thank you for your time,

Shannon,
I support your petition for the rezoning of your Meridian property to
permit the building of the first, in-door Aquatics Center in Meridian,
Idaho. You are the premier swimming instructor in our region and have
helped me become afar better swimmer and more competitive in my age group
in triathlon races. Many others have benefited from you instruction, and
more still will benefit if you are able to go forward with your project.
Best of luck and best wishes,
Dave

I am writing to you on behave of my b year old daughter who is currently enrolled in the Flow
Aquatics Program and my 10 month old daughter who will be starting in the next few months.
This is a wonderful program for children and adults of ALL ages and levels of swim experience;
from the beginner to the Olympic hopeful. The instructor/owner is fantastic and we want our
daughter to continue to come and learn from this wonderful instructor whom she has grown to
like and enjoys going to see and learn from each and every week. My daughter feels safe and
trusts the folks at Flow Aquatics and would be devastated if she would not be able to go
anymore.
Please allow this swim center to be built so that children around the valley can come and learn to
swim in a safe, clean and eco-friendly environment now,.and for many years to come.

Dear Members:
I am writing in support Shannon Hamrick's proposed in-doar aquatics center for
FLOW Aquatics. Not only is Ms. Hamrick planning to build astate-of-the-art
aquatics center, unlike any other in the country, but she also teaches swimming
in a manner that is wonderful gift to all (young and old) who learn from her.
While there are many others who teach swimming, very few teach FLOW
Aquatics as taught by Ms. Hamrick.
Being a father of three and a swimmer, I feel blessed to have Ms. Hamrick in my
life. I hope that you all will have the foresight to allow her to build her facility
and allow her to pass along her knowledge to even more people. The Treasure
Valley is lucky to have a person as gifted as Ms. Hamrick.
Respectfully,

February 6th, 2009
Dear Meridian City Planning & Zoning Commissioners,
I would like to take this moment to recommend to you what a wonderful
experience that I and my children have had, learning water safety and swimming
skills from Coach Shannon Hamrick at Flow Aquatics. My children have really
enjoyed their time working with Coach Shannon and love swimming because of
how she is able to gain their trust and help them face their fears of water. We've
been customers of Flow Aquatics for 3 .years now and its been very enjoyable.
Please allow the zoning of her new facility to be changed from residential to
commercial-neighborhood. Her old facility is great, but I know she can really do
more with a bigger facility. Her plans are very environmentally friendly, as well as
healthy for all the children of the Meridian area.
Thank you in advance,
Sincerely,

Dear members of the Planning and Zoning Commission:
I am writing this letter in support of the request for property rezoning form residential to
commercial for the proposed Aquatic Center in Meridian.
I personally have taken several classes from Flow Aquatics. A few at the Endless pool in
Meridian, a few at the YMCA in Boise and also at the diving pool in Boise near Orchard.
I have encouraged a number of other people who were interested in improving their
swimming techniques to also take lessons from Flow Aquatics.
My experiences with this wonderful team of instructors, and mainly Shannon Hamrick
were that the facility in Meridian was very clean, parking regulations were listed with
signs and people who came to the facility were eager to obey the regulations.
I have noted that the clientele attracted to this type of business are family oriented and
health conscious people eager to learn to swim or advance their techniques for leisure or
for sports. They do not seem to be a rowdy, unruly bunch of people who would bring the
need for increased patrols by law enforcement or cause decline in value to neighborhood
establishments.
I would highly encourage you to consider favorably the request for this new rezoning off
of Pine and Linder. I know if it were built, my family and friends would love to use it.
Sincerely,
Kay L. Grant

Meridian, ID 83642
Dear Planning and Zoning:
I wanted to take this opportunity to write a letter of support on behalf of FLOW Aquatics.
It is my understanding they are looking to build a state of the art facility in Meridian.
My children have taken lessons from Shannon in the past and for my daughter it changed
her perspective on competition. My daughter is not a competitive person, yet with
swimming she wasn't competing against others, she was competing against herself to
obtain record time on the swim team. On Saturdays, Shannon would sometimes allow
my daughter to assist her in the pool, bringing up her self confidence.
For my son, he is all boy. He doesn't listen very well and yet, with Shannon, he was.
attentive and alert, hindering on her every word. We spend our summers camping. and it.
is comforting to know that my children are at one with the water and are safer near it.
We haven't been to see Shannon in years due to busy schedules; however, I guarantee
you, if Shannon has a larger facility that will accommodate more class schedules and
additional staff members, we will begin lessons with her again.
I would also like to point one thing out that has always bothered me about Meridian.
There aren't any available swim lessons other than at the Meridian Pool in the summer.
Even then, you have to sign up months in advance, be available during the day (which I
am not due to work) and it is only during the summer months. The closest available
swim lessons are at the West Boise YMCA, still a fair drive for our family to commute
every day for lessons. Shannon's larger facility would provide a great service to the
Meridian community. It would be not only welcomed, but very much appreciated.
I appreciate your consideration and wish Shannon and FLOW Aquatics the best of luck in
this future venture.
Sincerely,
,~~~ ~~

amazing Ms. Hamrick and her staff are and what an asset they would be to your

FlowAquatics is a wonderful place for children and adults alike. The classes

To Whom It May Concern:
I am writing this letter to show my full support towards the building of the
"Premier Aquatics Center". I have just recently placed my two children into
the FLOW Aquatics program and I am more than thrilled with their
swimming progress. My children are, each at different levels and during their
lesson clearly focus on the skills that they need to become safe swimmers.
I feel that swimming is a skill that all children must have. I am so impressed
with Shannon and her staff with how dedicated they axe to each individual
child. A detailed plan is set up for each child. Shannon and her staff have
such a gift when it comes to teaching children to swim. The swimming
environment.is relaxing, fun, .and safe. I very much like the safety aspect of
the swimming lesson. It seems that every lesson has a safety precaution that
is taught to the children.
I would love to see FLOW Aquatics relocate to the new location off of Pine
and Linder. I feel. that this program has a lot to offer to the community. I
have seen only positive attributes come from this program. I have only been
in this program for a month and have seen many changes in my children's
swimming habits. We are planning on participating in FLOW Aquatics for
many years to come.

To Whom It May Concern
RE: Flow Aquatics
To Whom It May Concern:
Our son, Maxwell, is a swim student of Shannon Hamrick and the other coaches at Flow
Aquatics in Meridian, Idaho. We have been very impressed with their teaching
technique and also the rapport they develop with their students. Max has learned so
much and has acquired a real love of the water. This is sometimes hard to accomplish
with little kids, but Shannon and the coaches seem to understand how to communicate
with their little charges and help them feel comfortable in and around the water. Max
.always liked the water but was afraid to put his face in even to blow bubbles until he met
Shannon. She has a way of gently removing fears and creating confidence which is just
what he needed. She's a great coach.
The proposed facility would be a wonderful thing for our kids and for the community. It's
exciting to think.about all the opportunities such a state-of--the. art facility would create
for everyone. We are pleased Max has taken to the water so well and know that the
skills he is learning through Flow Aquatics will be with him for the rest of his life. There
is no better exercise than swimming and we hope this becomes his sport of choice.
Wth Shannon and the other coaches' help, we know he will continue to do well and
continue to become "one with the water."

To whom it may concern:
I am writing in support for the proposed Aquatics Center in Meridian. I think an aquatics center such as
the one described to me ("...state-of-the-art `green' facility, FLOW Aquatics will be able to focus on
enhancing the lives of people off all ages in our community. Through offerings of Learn to Swim,
rehabilitation, adaptive aquatics, and aquatics exercise programs and superior service...") would be a
great asset to our community.
My son took a swim class from FLOWAquatics and enjoyed it very much. The teachers and owner,
Shannon, are professional, knowledgeable, organized, and friendly..) plan to enroll him and his sister in
future classes - it would be great to take him to the new Aquatics Center. We need facilities such as this
one to promote healthy lifestyles for our families..
If you have any questions, you can call me at 869-9180.
Thank you for your time.

is such a wonderful program. I taught swim lessons myself for 5 years and tried various other swim
lessons for my kids before we discovered Shannon, and her program and method of teaching kids to
swim is by far the best I have ever seen. Shannon and the FLOW Aquatics staff truly care about the kids
in their program.
I think this new building they are proposing would be a huge boost, to the city of Meridian, not only for
its unique design but because it would be a green building with not only the environment in mind but
with the safety and health of its students and staff. This new facility will provide Shannon and FLOW
Aquatics with top of the line pools to further advance their swim program and expand their services to
the community.
I am extremely excited about this new swim facility. I can't say enough how wonderful FLOW Aquaticsw,
has been for my children, and what a huge impact they would have on the city of Meridian with this new
swim facility. My children have thrived in the FLOW swim program and I am very excited about its "
f~
future. '.

I am writing this letter in strong support of the proposed Flow Aquatics In-door Aquatics Center,
which would be located near the intersection of Linder and Pine Avenue.
Our five year old granddaughter took a series of swim lessons at an athletic facility in Meridian last
year. By the end of the session she was refusing to enter the water, panicking when we suggested a
swimming outing. In the spring she began taking lessons through Flow Aquatics and within two
weeks she was very confident in the water and has continued lessons to the present.
The technique that Shannon employs is one that not only teaches basic swimming skills, but also
water survival skills. The program is consistent, deeply organized, and a strong addition to the
community of Meridian. I therefore highly support your consideration when determining the
rezoning of the proposed property. It will be a facility unlike any other in the surrounding area.
Thank you for your consideration.

Dear Meridian Planning & Zoning Commissioners,
Please consider the re-zoning request & subsequent building proposal made by FLOW
Aquatics for Meridian's first indoor aquatics. center. This: type of facility is-desperately
needed in our community as it would provide wonderful: opportunities for swimming
instruction and enjoyment at all ages and abilities, and at all times of the year. Our two
children have taken swim lessons from FLOW Aquatics off.-and-on during the last 3
years, and have benefited tremendously from the highly-skil ed instructors and
systematic approach. The philosophy- of FLO1/1r Aquatics is one of relaxation &
enjoyment in the water, which has helped: my children 'learn faster and feel more
comfortable: in the water. This has enhanced'the'ir'abilities to be safe in and: around
water as well
1Ne would love to see FLOW Aquatics be able to br"rng this type of facility to our
community. Swimming is one of the better forms of exercise for people of all ages
(less chance of injuries, builds endurance;: better cardiovascular.& muscle-strengthing
exercise).. , Plus,. swimming can be an indeper7dent or team sport, which. gives people
rrtare gptions' foi- lifet(me fitness :goal`s. (no't necessarily dependent. on a ;team to form in
order to participate). Lastly, this facility will: be indoors, wllcli; simply Is .not offered: %n
Meridian right: now outside a health club membership To became a community that
vaCues ot~r ditizens' health &well-being, we must provide access for a l'ta a fac((ty such

they may move forward with plans to build this state-of-the art and community-friendly
facility.

To the Planning and Zoning Dept.
We have only been involved in the Flow Aquatics program for a short time but we have been
so impressed with Shannon's ability to work with the children. Shannon is.amazing with the
technique she instructs. She also has a unique ability to help children (and I assume) all
people get comfortable with the water and "become "one with the water".
We were referred to the program by several adult friends who have either gone to Shannon to
overcome their fear of water or to become stronger and more efficient swimmers so that they
might perform better in competitions.
We only wished that we had known about Shannon and her programs sooner. We think it
would be a great addition to the city of Meridian and all the surrounding areas to have Premier
Aquatics Center as part of our infrastructure! We know that it will greatly enrich the lives of
citizens old and young!

To Whom It May Concern:
My daughter has been taking lessons from Flow Aquatics since April 2007. We started the lessons
when she was five years old and very shy. She had a hard time }Dining activities. She would
refrain from trying new things, worry that she wouldn't do it right: or cry when leaving my side.
So we did research and looked for activities that would work on building her confidence. We
found information that gymnastics, swimming, or dance could build individual and team building
skills. So we looked around and found information on the YMCA, but wanted a more personal
experience, nothing so overwhelming. We found Flow Aquatics in Meridian. We started coming
each week with a class size limited to four. fur daughter, Jordan, was shy, and wouldn't make
too much sound at first. It was a smog building, in a small room, which put her dose to Miss
Shannon and the other three students. Slowly, over the next few months, we started to see a
new little personality emerge.
Each week, Jordan built on the previous .skips. and became more confident. A lttle more verbal
acid a little more daring: She would come home and practice her heart out in the bathtub. She
had a hard time blowing out through her nose, and she became very determined to master the
skill, so she would be the first to do it. Ner confidence has grown so muds over the Last two
years; I now joke that maybe it wasn't so bad to have her shy.
We have made the trips from the facility site in Meridian, to a hotel where lessons were held, and
now to a site in Boise. It is not always easy, and we are just waiting patiently for a facility to
become a reality. Sometimes I barely make the lessons, leaving work in Boise, traveling to
Meridian to pick her up, and then return to Boise, and at times I want to take a break. But they
have rnme to mean a lot to Jordan, and she is advandng towards opportunities to compete on a
team, take this further in her life. We have a one year old son who is very eager to start his
lessons. He loves to watch his big sister in the pool. But at the current time, i am unable to make
it far lessons for him. We are cooking forward to him taking Lessons. We are just hoping that by
the time we are ready to start, it will be at a site here in our home town of Meridian.
Thank you for the time and consideration for the proposal for Flow Aquatics. They have become
important to our family in whole and we support them completely.

I have traveled on a .number of occasions to Meridian to receive instruction
from Shannon Hamrick at her current location in the basement. I have
appreciated her help to me personally in improving my swimming ability.
Her facility is cramped and difficult to get to by ascending a very steep flight
of stairs. I have a very good friend who would like to receive help from her
but he is unable to do so. He is paralyzed from the waist down and is
unable to get down the stairs.
I am pleased to see that Shannon wants to build an in-door Aquatics Center.
Meridian will be a better place with this facility.
Please consider this proposal and allow this facility to add to the
infrastructure of Meridian.
Sincerely,

Dear Planning & Zoning Dept.,
How truly fortunate Meridian, ID is to be the potential new home for
a state-of-the-art aquatic facility such as the proposed Flow Aquatics
Studio. Shannon Hamrick has a great vision for an outstanding
facility that will. offer so much to families and individuals not only in
Meridian but in surrounding areas. Shannon knows how to put
together a top notch program, as I know from first hand experience.
I've attended 2 of her workshops, 2 of her skill clinics, a handful of her
transformation sessions as -well as several private lessons. In all
venues, she has been an incredible coach and a skilled athlete. It
would be a great asset to your community to have atop-notch swim
studio run by a very talented woman.
Best regards,
Gina Bosco

To Whom It May Concern:
I would like to publicly state my support for Shannon Hamrick and the new Flow
Aquatics center. I met Shannon when I moved to Boise in 2003. She was coaching
Master's swim workouts at the YMCA and I was pursuing my dream of becoming a
professional triathlete. It was immediately obvious to me that she had a passion for
teaching others how to swim. Her workouts were enjoyable and her positive attitude was
infectious. Before long, I asked her to become my personal swim coach. I met with her
once in a while at her new swim studio and got pro-bono one-on-one coaching. Thanks to
Shannon's encouragement, coaching, and sacrifice, I saw tremendous gains as a
swimmer, which translated to greater success as a triathlete.
Furthermore, being one of her pupils, I was fortunate enough to be invited by her
to work at several of her early swinnming workshops. It was rewarding to see swimmers
at various skill levels improve from week to week and enjoyable to watch Shannon work
with them. Over the years I have learned a few things about Shannon. She is trustworthy
and makes good on her promises. She is a passionate, caring coach and person, that has
given more to others than she has received. She is a dedicated wife and mother. There is
no doubt in my mind that Shannon Hamrick will make a positive impact on any
community she, or her business, is a part of.

To Meridian Planning and Zoning Commissioners,
It is with great pleasure that Joe and I write this letter of support for Shannon
and Flow Aquatics.
Our 5 year old granddaughter, Amaya, has been a student with Shannon for
several years now. We have observed consistent and realistic improvement in her
swimming skills and confidence over this time. Best of all, she expresses "sheer
joy" when she's in the water recreationally!.!! This is directly related to the
quality of techniques used and the philosophy of her program. As a retired
educator, I have been very impressed and feel so fortunate that Amaya has been
one of Shannon's students
How exciting to have such a state of the art aquatic center right here in
Meridian!! We`ve observed the number of parents from all over the valley
faithfully follow Shannon from location to location to ensure that their child or
children continue in her program. She would now be able to offer. programs and
services to people of all ages.
Please listen carefully to her proposal and join us in supporting this fantastic,
aquatic facility.
Respectfully,
Rose and Joe McKinney

Dear:Planning and Zoning Dept
My son has had .the amazing experience of learning to swim through Flow
Aquatics, and we are so excited for the new facility in Meridian ID. I
truly believe that Flow Aquatics will provide a facility that is greatly
needed in Meridian and the Treasure Vally area, there isn't a lot of
availability of aquatic centers in the Boise area and there is a strong
demand for these facility's. I am extremely excited about the fact that my
children will have a "green" sw~*~+~nq environment, and they will not have
to deal with chlorine. Shannon and the Flow Aquatics team are amazing, and
an asset to our community.
Thank you
