Shave recently purchased the property-with the intent. of rehabili-. .
tating the old house, presently on the property, to a very nice Life ,.
Insurance business office. •~
L have been•in the Life Insurance business for 23 years and during
• the last 8 years have been located at 712 E. Fairview. Meridian is
a very favorable location for me, because my clients live through-
out the valley. '
I do own-the .lot located ,just west of the house and it is zoned.
commercial. The lot behind to the north is zoned one-half commercia3.:,•
and the Circle.K Store located to the east is commercial. Since the
~, property at 540 W. Cherry Ln. is surrounded by commercial properties,
and would be•impractical to bring it up to .a desirable level for
' residential use. I would appreciate the zoning be changed to commercial
limited to light office.
I plan to completely redo the house, changing the roof, making a very
.attractive small office. TY~e garage will be torn down, and a portion
of the property in back will be paved #'or parking. 'The entraxice~ for
• parking will be .off of Crestwood.
My Insurance agency has two employees other than myself, so our need •'
' for parking is very limited. The nature of the Life Insurance business
doesn't require a lot of customer parking." We almost never have more
than one customer in the office at any one time. '

PROPOSED ZONE CHANGE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to the Ordinances of the
City of Meridian and the laws of the State of Idaho, that
a hearing before the Planning and Zoning Commission of the
City of Meridian, will be held at the City Hall in Meridian
at the hour of 8:00 p,m. on, the 14th day of December, 198 1,

a very favorable location for me, beoause my clients live through-
out the valley.
.I do own-the lot located dust west of the house and it is zoned.
commercial. The lot behind to the north is zoned one-half commeroia3.:,.
and the Circle.K Store located to the east is commercial. Since the
property at 540 W. Cherry Ln. is surrounded by commercial properties.,
and would be'impractical to bring it up to .a desirable level For
residential use. I would appreciate the zoning be changed to commercial
limited to light office.
I plan to completely redo the house, changing the roof, making a very
.attractive small office. The garage will be torn down, and a.portion
of the property in back will be paved #'or parking.' The entrance for
parking will be off of Crestwood.
My Insurance agency has two employees other than myself, so our need ~ "
for parking is very limited. The nature of the Life Insurance business
doesn't require a lot of customer parking.~'We almost never have more
than one customer in the office at any one time. .

This letter is to inform you of the action taken by the Commissioners
of the Ada.. County Highway District during their regular meeting, held on
December 10, 1981.
Your request to waive the recormendation made to the City of Meridian
Planning & Zoning Department, regarding the Road Trust Fund deposit for
Cherry Lane improvements, was denied. The action represents the District's
position taken on previous applications in the area.
The District's position on previous applications was confirmed earlier
today, when we talked on the telephone. I also computed a rough estimate
of the amount necessary for the deposit. The amount was $2,500.00. As we
discussed, this amount is only a ball park figure that needs to be confirmed.

a very favorable location for me, beoause my clients live through-

I do own .the lot located dust west of the house and it is zoned.
