Watertower Ln., Suite200 Meridian, Idaho 83642 RE: Variance Application for the Silverstone Business Campus Dear Brad: Attached please find the above-mentioned application for the 80 acre pazcel of ground located on the southeast comer of Overland and Eagle Roads, immediately to the east of Silverstone Corporate Center. The Silverstone Business Campus is a quality project with a wide variety of uses available to the users located within the Center. The Owner would like to request a Variance to the ordinance limiting the length of a block to 1000'. Due to the unique nature of this site and a desire to provide a Cormnercial/Flex building application the Owner is unable at this time to anticipate the size of future buildings and the lot coverage they may have within this facility. With this in mind he directed the Engineer to design the block layout to best achieve the flexibility needed. With 8-mile drain bi-secting this site and creating a natural barrier that also needs to be considered in laying out lots and blocks, the site was laid out to maximize access to lots and minimize costs to the Owner in excess asphalt and roadways to work with natural site features. Granting the variance requested would not confer on the applicant any special privileges that is denied by this Ordinance to other commercial lands in this District,. as the adjoining commercial lands have been granted this variance. We look forwazd to working with you on the Silverstone Business Campus project and we know that the center will become a great benefit to the City of Meridian.
