You recently inquired about a Conditional Use Permit for
a Dog Grooming Saloon at 1428 Meridian Street. In review-
ing the City of Meridian Ordinance the property at this
location is zoned Commerical and the grooming saloon is
a permitted use in this zone. This use is permitted
provided there is less than three dogs at this location
at one time. If three or more dogs were there at one
time this would be considered a kennell and would be in
violation of the City Ordinance.
Under the City of Meridian Water & Sewer Bonding Ordinance
when a business is being conducted in conjunction with a
residence additonal fees have to be assessed. The addition-
al fees for this property amount to $700.00 and the property
will be changed to commercial rate .
Please make the necessary arrangements to pay these addition-
al fees. If you have any questions regarding the above,
please contact me at the Meridian City Hall.
