RE: Sha Cove Subdivision-Letter of Develo ment A reement Provisions
Dear Ms Jaycee L Holman, City Clerk,
This letter is to address concerns regarding the forthcoming referenced approval request
of the proposed Shay Cove Subdivision, from the residents of Glacier Springs
Subdivision, on the west border of the proposed development.
On June 3, 2008, Glacier Springs Subdivision homeowners attended a meeting put
together by Landmark Engineering to go over concerns of the proposed development. In
response to this meeting the Glacier Springs Subdivision homeowners provided a list of
these concerns on June 6, 2008 (see attached list and fax receipt.
On going down to the the Planning Department in Meridian, on August 25, 2008, to
review the Shay Cove application, I found that none of these concerns were addressed or
included in the application file. I talked with Sonya Wafters, City Planner, and she went
through the file and confirmed that our concerns weren't included.
This letter is to address and list the development agreements ~provisians we would
like to have included in the development of this property:
1. Restriction of height of houses, all single level on the west side of
the property that borders Glacier Springs, which are all single level
2. Minimum of 2400 square feet.
3. Landscaping far privacy. Evergreens would provide some type of privacy all year
long.
4. Taller fences. Currently the fences of Glacier Springs Subdivision that border the
proposed development are at a lower level.
5. A cul-de-sac, no through road. We already have a road in front of our homes and
this would be a wayto keep the noise level down.

•
6. Some type of turn lane on Victory Road. It is very dangerous now, especially
with the hill, to see on coming traffic. This should be address with all the new
subdivisions going in.
Please contact rne, Liz Echanis (861-6145) or any other Glacier Springs Subdivisian
homeowner (see attached list) with any comments or concerns.
Thank you for your consideration with this matter.
Sincerely,
Residents of Glacier Springs Subdivision
(see attachment)
