Mike Anderson - Church of Christ Christian Church - Input. Meridian Planning and Zoning Commission March 10, 1980 Meeting called to order by Chairman Annette Hinrichs at 8:05 P.M. Members present: Ken Tewksbury, Lee Mitchell, Burl Pipkin, Oon Sharp, absent. Others present: Theodore Kellogg, A. R. Ziselberger, Mrs. J. L. Leiding, Paul Bolinger, Alma Bolinger, Mike Anderson. Minutes of previous meeting were approved as read. Agenda 1 Leiding split lot - Bown Addition - E. 3rd and Ada, Lots 1, 2 & 3, Block 3. Mrs. Leiding presented a diagram and requested the approval to split Lot 2, making two good sized lots instead of three (3) 30X88 lots. The front of the house is facing East .3rd. Streets The Leidinns wish to sell the house and 48 foot depth to their dauohter. P4rs. Leiding stated that the original platting was three (3) thirty foot lots. They have no plans for the remaining lot, but the property in al 1, was too much for their daughter to take care of. They would keep the lot clean. The garage could be slid to the house lot or torn down - there is no foundation. There was discussion concerning setback requirements. There would be 6 feet from back door to new proposed property line. No problem on side yards. The Motion was made by Pipkin and seconded by Tewksbury to recommend approval to City Council of the lot split of Lot 2, Block 3, of Bown Addition, the lot with the house to be 48X90, located at 331 E. 3rd. Motion Carried: Tewksbury, yea, Pipkin, yea, Mitchell, nay. Agenda 2 Theodore Kellogg - 305 41. Broadway, Westview Tract P,ddition. Block 6, Split lot request. Mr. Kellogg displayed drawing and petition with signatures of all neighbors signing approval. They all felt this proposed use of a vacant lot would be an improvement. Pipkin reviewed property lines and setbacks which would comply with Code, and City Ordinance. Net 55X83. One story house with a 5 foot setback from back line. Kellogg stated the original plat was two lots. The Motion was made by Mitchell and seconded by Tewksbury that the split lot request of Theodore Kellogg, 305 W. Broadway be allowed, providing all Codes are followed. Motion Carried: All yea. Agenda 3 Mike Anderson - Church of Christ Christian Church - Input. Anderson explained the Church had planned to build on a 5 acre parcel located at E. Pine and Locust Grove, but found that this was in an Industrial area. They are looking at a parcel located on W. Cherry Lane, Stucker Annexation, Bethaven Subdivision. There is a parcel not platted that lies east next to the platted Bethaven Subdivision. At one time, Mr. Stucker had suggested this would suit a nursing home. Nine Mile Creek borders this parcel. There was an informal discussion concerning entrance, narking (one space for five seats for a church) and locating in a residential area.
