The Aquadiamond technology was selected to replace the existing traveling bed sand filter in filter 3, and this equipment has been installed. Three more filters are needed to increase the firm filtration capacity of the wastewater treatment plant. The existing sand filters 1 and 2 will be retrofitted with new cloth disk filters. All yard piping downstream of the filters will be capsized and a new backwash line to the Headworks will be installed. This work is currently under contract. This amendment is for the design of three Cloth Disk filters instead of one Aquadiamond, a ramada type cover over the Aquadiamond, and Grit Piping modifications. Scope of Work CH2M HILL will per#orm the tasks for design of the third cloth disk filter and Aquadiamond cover as outlined below. Electrical design will be subcontracted to DC Engineering. SCADA programming is not part of this contract. Task 1-Project Management 1.1 Staff Management and Task Coordination Project management will consist of supervising project staff, holding consultant staff coordination meetings as required, documenting meeting decisions and action items, and assigning activities to team members. 1.2 Monitor Project Progress Monitor project progress, including work completed, work remaining, budget expended, schedule, estirhafed cost of work remaining, and estimated cost at completion. Monitor project activities for potential changes, anticipate changes when possible, and with Owner approval, modify project tasks, budgets, and approach. 1.3 Invoices Prepare and submit a monthly billing with backup documentation, per the agreement. Prepare invoices for sen-ices performed on a monthly basis, including a summary of work completed and work to be completed for the coming month. 1.4 Project Quality Control Perform project quality control reviev~rs of all deliverables on this project. Senior technologists will be involved in the work tasks from the start and perform these final reviews. Task 2 Final Design 2.1 Update Preliminary Design Report The Preliminary Report will be updated to reflect a third cloth disk filter and a ramada-type cover, reviewed by the City, and submitted to IDEQ for approval. 2.2 Prepare Plans and Specifications Additional plans and specifications will be produced to include the third cloth disk filter and apre-engineered ramada-type cover. The following is the anticipated list of additional drawings: • Yard Piping Plan D • Filter 4 Structural Slab Plan and Details • Filter 3 cover Structural Plan and Details • Pump Station 2 Plans and Sections • Filter 4 and Pump Station 2 Electrical Plan • Filter 4 P&ID Additional specifications will be required for the pre-engineered roof. 2.3 Project Review Meetings Four copies of 50% and 90% complete project documents will be provided for the owner's review and comment. Project review meetings will be conducted for each submittal. Owner's Comments will be incorporated into the project documents. Drawings will be prepared in Microstation and converted to AutoCad, and specifications in MS Word. Assumptions: City will provide comments on the 50% and 90% submittal documents Design will be based on existing geotechnical information provided by the City in the preliminary design. Deliverables: • Four sets of 50% complete and 90% complete sets. • Two sets of Agency submittal documents. • Four sets of ~/i size 100% complete hard copy documents and one set of electronic files. 3.0 Grit Piping Provide drawings of the grit piping modifications suitable for quotation by Contractor. CH2M HILL has developed this level of effort estimate based on the work plan presented herein and assumptions stated previously. The fees will be billed as time and material, and will not exceed the total amount below without prior approval by the City.
