you are well aware an initiative for Economic Excellence in the City
remains
focus on identified synergistic business enterprise corridors. This
project
sits at a gateway of main intersection which connects the north and
south
components of the City's identified Health Sciences and Technology
Corridor
("Corridor"). Larger projects like El Dorado, Silverstone, and Gramercy
anchor the southern overlay of the Corridor while Portico and Pinebridge
anchor the north boundaries with St Luke's Medical Center representing
the
Center.
Based on what you provided, the Overland Village project appears
to
provide a complimentary gateway view heading over the freeway from the
south
towards the Hospital and components in the north portion of the
Corridor.
The Overland Village project looks to represent a positive and
complimentary
project for enhanced development of an overall integrated clustering of
complimentary services which is in support of the Corridor. It also
appears
that this project would serve as a catalyst to further development with
adjacent properties which can support associated opportunities for
positive
development in support of this Corridor.
Subject to meeting other appropriate City requirements, I would
view
and recommend this project as a positive addition to the ongoing
development
of Meridian's Health Science and Technology Corridor. This will be a
very
visible project and will have the opportunity to capture and support the
identity of the Corridor.

this
