Dear Mayor Storey:
We corresponded with you in April 1974 concerning a
proposed annexation described by J-U-B Engineers, Inc. as project
No. 1891.
As of this writing, we have no current information on
the subject and would appreciate knowing if the annexation has
taken place and if so, may we have a copy of the resolution making
the official order and advice of what the final metes and bounds
description is?
Very truly yours,
~~ ~ k~~exJ~ .

As you may know, the City of Meridian has for several years
experienced a trend of rapid growth. This growth has caused the
physical limits of the City to expand accordingly via annexation,
The Meridian annexation ordinance requires that the City remain
contiguous and that no annexation be allowed where it is found to be
completely separate to the City. A recent remiew of our records
indicates that there are sections of the Union Pacific Railroad right
of waq through Meridian that are needed to maintain the continuity of
the City,
Zn order to provide the needed continuity, we would like to
annex certain portions of the Union Pacific Railroad right of way.
Pursuant to that goal, we are providing herewith, a description and
drawing of the portion of right of way that we desire to annex, As
we would like to begin the proceeding during our City Council meeting
of April 1, 1974, we would appreciate your quick response to this request.
Thank you for your help in this matter.
incerely,
