Dear Planners:
The Meridian School District has experienced phenomenal student growth the
last ten years. The high schools, middle schools, and elementary schools
throughout the district are operating at or over capacity. Residents may not be
assured of attending the neighborhood school.
Approval of the Windham Place Subdivision will have an impact on school
enrollments at Chief Joseph Elementary School,. Meridian Middle School and
Meridian High School. We can predict that these homes, when completed, will
house seven (7) elementary aged students, six (6) middle school aged students,
and five (5) senior high aged students.
School capacity is addressed in Idaho Code 67-6508. The Meridian School
-- _ -- District is currently operating beyond capacity. -Future development will continue
to have an impact on the district's capacity. If you have any questions, please
