TRAFFIC BUREAU SEC. ZONING & PLANNING As you may know, the City of Meridian has for several years experienced a tread of rapid growth. 'This growth has caused the physical limits of the City to expand accordingly via annexation. The Meridian annexation ordinance requires that the City remain contiguous and that no annexation be allowed where it is found to be completely separate to the City. A recent reviear of our records indicates that there are sections of the Union Pacific Railroad right of way through Meridian that are needed to maintain the continuity of the City. In order~to provide the needed continuity, we would like to annex certain portions of the Union Pacific Railroad right of way. Pursuant to that goal, we are providing herewith, a description and drarring of the portion of right of way that we desire to annex.
