The Meridian School District has experienced phenomenal student growth the
last ten years. The high schools, middle schools, and elementary schools
throughout the district are operating at or over capacity. Residents may not be
assured of attending the neighborhood school.
Approval of the Irvine Subdivision will have an impact on school enrollments at
Paramount Elementary School, Sawtooth Middle School and Rocky Mountain
High School. We can predict that these homes, when completed, will house
nineteen (19) elementary aged students, eighteen (18) middle school aged
students, and thirteen (13) senior high aged students.
School capacity is addressed in Idaho Code 67-6508. The Meridian School
District is currently operating beyond capacity. Future development will continue
to have an impact on the district's capacity. If you have any questions, please
