Dear Planners:
The Meridian School District has experienced phenomenal student growth the
last ten years. The high schools, middle schools, and elementary schools
throughout the district are operating at or over capacity. Residents may not be
assured of attending the neighborhood school.
Approval of the Chesterfield Subdivision will have an impact on school
enrollments at Peregrine Elementary School, Meridian Middle School and
Meridian Hiah School. We can predict that these homes, when completed, will
house twenty three (23) elementary aged students, twenty one (21) middle
school aged students, and seventeen (17) senior high aged students.
School capacity is addressed in Idaho Code 67-6508. The Meridian School
District is currently operating beyond capacity. Future development will continue
to have an impact on the district's capacity. If you have any questions, please
