Re Coleman Communities )Development Project -McMillan & Black Cat Roads
Honorable Commissioners:
Coleman Communities representative, Becky McKay, has .asked that we comment to you
concerning their application to be heard at your July 17, 20.08 hearing for rezone and plat
approval of the subject project.
Representatives. of Coleman Communities Development have met with the Western Ada
Recreation pistrict .(WARD.) Board of Directors, at a regularly scheduled monthly
business meeting, and presented. drawings of their proposed development including a
io osal_of the-donation_of_a_bui dmgsite to~W~1RD=for=thei~_eonstr-ueton=of aT: -`-~ -`
recreational facility.. This recreational facility would .include a public swimming pool and
associated. public park facilities. This site donation would include infrastructure adjacent
to the site consisting of sanitary sewer, domestic water, storm drainage, public roadways
.and adjacent perimeter landscaping.
The WARD Board of Directors long range plans for expansion of recreational facilities
within. the District boundary does include a facility in this general area. In that regard the
Board is very interested in the proposal made by this developer. No formal decision has
been made by WA12D, concerning this proposal, and. details of any agreement bett~~een
WARD and this developer will need to be worked out.
The WARD is in support of this project as proposed by the Coleman Communities
Development and would appreciate you taking this support into consideration in your
deliberation on this matter..
Respectfully submitted,
~•

Board of Directors
Western Ada Recreation District
