Njo O A)Ii So I c O August 12th. 1971 Mr. Don Storey Mayor City of Meridian Meridian, Idaho 83642 Dear Mr. Storey: As a result of the harassing action of the City Council of Meridian on a motion in the July 12th. 1971 minutes of the meeting the Gregory Subdivision and the developers the Treasure Valley Homes Inc. have suffered considerably from the adverse and unfavorable publicity. The reporting of the meetings actions was reported in the Valley News Times and this story has caused many of the builders to refuse to pfirchase any more of the lots for developing and building of homes. We now seek redress action for such action by the Council for the action they have taken without seeking the true cause of the problem, and without making an inspection of the area. The problem was and is still being caused by the farmers and owners ( who have been notified of their actions by use that the water flooding is caused by the drainage ditches which not have been cleaned or repaired to handle the excess water. This waste water is flooding and causing a breeding area for mosquitos as well as doing damage to the property and tax paying home owners in the subdivision. We trust that you will take the proper measures to insure the owners of the farms and those who use the water to excess that the waste water is their responsibility and any damage from this in the future will be cause for legal action to recover for damagesv to others property.
