Dear Sir,
I am writing about the proposed re-zoning of the section of land on the NW comer of Eagle and Victory intersection.
I understand that the proposal has merits, both from the current landowners point of view, through increased sale
value, and from the purchasers point of view (Walgreens) -they gain a location near a major commercial street.
However, the current proposal, I believe, is not a good one.
I understand that properties along Eagle Road itself will likely end up as commercial properties. As a matter of fact,
opposite comer of that intersection has the correct zoning and would be a perfect location for this proposal.
However, Victory road west of Eagle is entirely residential, both on the north side and on the south side.
The fact that the land is higher than the subdivision that I currently live in, directly North of the property in question,
means that all the late night/early morning sounds and lights will disturb my house.
Unfortunately, the size of the property means that a proper buffer zone will be totally impossible.
Now, I perfectly understand that growth is happening and will happen.
I own a business along busy Cole Road in Boise.
However, in this case the land just doesn't suit the proposed use.
Thank you for your attention.
Sincerely,
Wayne R. Peterson
