Bill from EPA POSTPONID • SPECIAL MEETING MERIDIAN CITY COUNCIL N~RCH 14,1983 Special Meeting of the Meridian City Council called to Order by Mayor Joseph Glaisyer at 4:05 P.M. Menbers Present: Grant Kingsford.; Ronald Tolsma; Bill Brewer; Rick Orton Others Present: None Motion made by Brewer and seconded. by Kingsford to approve the minutes of the Special Meridian City Council Meeting held March 3, 1983 as written. Motion Carried: Kingsford, Yea; Tolsma, yea; Brewer, yea; Orton, yea Mayor Glaisyer remarked that due to changes made at prior meeting in the Ordinance and Charter of The Economic Development Corporation of the City of Meridian whereby the Directors must be City residence or in the Impact Area, Mr. Bob Davis name was being withdrawn as Mr. Davis is a residence of Boise. Mayor Glaisyer rec~erided that Wally Lovan and Walt Morrc~v who are residents of the City and Morgan Edwards who live in the Impact Area be appointed to the Board of Directors of the Corporation, in the bylaws of the Corporation the other two members are the Mayor & the President of the Council. Mayor Glaisyer advised that the persons had agreed. to serve. Mayor Glaisyer: Any questions of these nominations? Bill Brewer: I think the three as far as their professions and personalities ccxnpliment each other ideally and there is a contractor, professional person and a member of the camninity at large, I think the three will fit in very good. Mayor Glaisyer: Wally is member of Chamber Board and also the Industrial Committee. Motion made by Kingsford and seconded by Orton to approve Mayor Glaisyer's ncaninations to the Board of the Eccanonic Develo~ent Corporation of the City of Meridian. Motion Carried: Kingsford; yea; Tols~, yea.; Brewer, yea, Orton, yea Mayor Glaisyer: The Board of Directors will meet at the Meridian City Hall on Thrusday March 17, 1983 at 5:00 p.m. to elect offic~xs ,adopt by-laws and entertain an inducenent resolution for the first issue of Industrial Revenue Bonds. Mayor Glaisyer: Other iten on the agenda Bill from EPA would rather postpone until Gary Smith is present.
