~lar meting of the Meridian City Council called to order by Mayor Joseph Glaisyer
at 7:30 p. m.
Council Members Present: Grant Kingsford; Ron Tolsma; Rick Orton Jr.; Bill Brewer
Others Present: Ray Voss; Doug Nichols; Vern Schoen; Bruce Stuart, Steve Gratton,
Gary Smith; Wayne Crookston; David Blaine; Dan Blaine (Scout Troop #129)

Minutes of previous meeting held June 20, 1983 were approved as written.
Item:
1 Meridian Urban Area Transportation Map:
Orton explained that the Map had been reviewed and that the Collector Street from
Franklin Road to Fairview Avenue had been drawn on the Maps. This Collector Street
aligns with East Sixth Street and is designed to route truck traffic from downtown
Meridian thru the Industrial Parks.
The other Council Members agreed that this was the way they had decided during the
previous meetings held on the Transportation Plan.
There was additional discussion on the map. (Tape on file)
The Motion was made by Orton and seconded by Kingsford to authorize the Mayor to
sign the Transportation Map with the Collector Street that aligns with East 6th
Street drawn on the Map.

The Mayor presented the Council Memb~ss with copies of the preliminary Budget for
the C~neral Fund and asked that they review and return with corrsnents.
A Workshop for the Zoning & Development Ordinance was set for July 25, 1983 at
7:30 p. m.
Being no other Business to carne before the Council.........
The Motion was made by Brewer and seconded by Kingsford to adjourn at 7:44 p.m.
