BY THE CITY COUNCIL: BIRD, ROUNTREE, ZAREMBA
A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MERIDIAN REAPPOINTING STEVE TURNEY TO SEAT 1 OF THE MERIDIAN
HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION; AND REAPPOINTING TOM
HAMMOND TO SEAT 4 OF THE MERIDIAN HISTORIC PRESEVRATION
COMMISSION; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Meridian City Code Title 2, Chapter 1 establishes the Historic
Preservation Commission, its members and terms of their appointments; and
WHEREAS, Steve Turney was appointed in August of 2004 fora 3 year term and Tom
Hammond was reappointed in 2005 to a 3 year term;
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Meridian deems it to be in the best interest
of the citizens of the City of Meridian to approve the respective reappointment of Commissioner
Steve Turney and Tom Hammond as recommended by Mayor De Weerd and described herein;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MERIDIAN CITY, IDAHO:
Section 1. That, effective immediately, Steve Turney shall be reappointed to Seat 1 of
the Historic Preservation Commission, which term shall run through Apri12010.
Section 2. That, effective immediately, Tom Hammond shall be reappointed to Seat 4 of
the Historic Preservation Commission, which term shall run through Apri12010.
Section 3. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its
adoption and approval.

ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Meridian, Idaho, this 2 ~ day of
