THIS TASK ORDER, entered into this day of ,2008, between City of Meridian, Idaho, hereinafter referred to as
the "CITY", J-U-B ENGINEERS. Inc. ,hereinafter referred to as the ENGINEER, is subject to the provisions of the Agreement for
Engineering Service for Water, Wastewater, and Miscellaneous Public Works Projects, approved December 12, 2006, hereinafter
referred to as the MASTER AGREEMENT for PROFESSIONAL SERVICES.
WtTNESSETH:
WHEREAS, the CITY intends to complete the Downtown Sewer Study, hereinafter referred to as the PROJECT; NOW,
THEREFORE, the CITY and J-U-B ENGINEERS Inc in consideration of their mutual covenants herein agree in respect as set
forth below.
CITY INFORMATION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The CITY will provide to ENGINEER the data and/or services specfied in the AGREEMENT.
In addition, the CITY will furnish to ENGINEER items listed in Attachment "C°.
SCOPE OF SERVICES TO BE PERFORMED BY ENGINEER:
ENGINEER will provide those services described in Attachment "A°.
SCHEDULE OF WORK TO BE PERFORMED:
ENGINEER will perform said services in a timely manner.
BASIS OF FEE AND BILLING SCHEDULE:
The CITY will pay ENGINEER for its services and reimbursable expenses as follows: On a time and materials basis wfth an
estimated budget as shown on Attachment "B°.

Agreement to Provide Engineering Services
Attachment "A" -Scope of Engineering Services Outline
The ENGINEER shall furnish the services specifically limited to the following:
1. Task 1-Existing Conditions, Base Mapping, Flow Monitoring, and Field Investigation
1.1 Kickoff Meetings and Progress Meetings: ENGINEER shall meet with City staff to review the project
and request City provided information. Progress meetings will be held with CITY and stakeholder
throughout the project. An assumed number of meetings are shown on Attachment "B".
1.2 Review Available Information
1. Review Existing Model: The City's GIS staff is currently developing acity-wide existing model.
The City's intent is to utilize their current EPASWIMM model with a GIS interface. At this time,
the GIS interface module is in development, and therefore, the model may not be available to
the ENGINEER for use on the project. The ENGINEER will assist the City in evaluating tasks
needed to establish the existing model and provide consultation with the City on other
modeling options. An assumed level of effort is shown on Attachment "B".
2. Existing flow monitoring data and WWTP records.
3. Water and sewer billing data for dry and wet weather conditions.
4. Available studies
5. Planning information from the Meridian Development Corporation (MDC) and City P&Z
6. GIS data for right-of--way
1.3 Update and develop base mapping and system inventory
1. Meet with public works staff and review sewer base mapping for recent sewer improvements.
2. If directed by the City, the ENGINEER will update sewer base mapping in GIS to reflect recent
improvements to the collection system in a format compatible with the City's GIS system.
1.4 Flow Monitoring and Field Investigation
1. Phase 10utfall Sewers: The initial phase will include flow monitoring on trunk sewers
receiving flows from the downtown area. It is anticipated between 3 or 4 flow monitors will be
installed for a period of 2 weeks.
2. Phase 2 Study area (Sub-basin): If authorized by the City, a more detailed flow monitoring
plan will be implemented on an interior sub-basin level focusing on excessively high I/I
collection lines. For the estimating fees, an additional 3 monitoring setups over 2 weeks is
assumed.
3. Complete a cursory field review major collection sewers lying in ally or back lot lines to
estimate constructability issues and corridor availability.
1.5 Prepare Letter Report
1. The ENGINEER shall prepare a letter report summarizing the flow monitoring data, model
review and recommendation for master planning, and field investigations.

Agreement to Provide Engineering Services
ATTACHMENT "C" -ITEMS PROVIDED BY THE CITY
1. Provide on-going review of J-U-B's work and collaboration on the planning and master
palling process as may be required throughout the project. Provide timely consideration and
direction of policy issues within a time acceptable to the City and J-U-B.
2. Provide legal counsel as required for consultation and legal opinions of project and policy
issues on an as needed basis.
3. Provide CCN inspection DUDS and other inventory records in the study area.
4. The City's most recent GIS data for base map development.
5. Provide flow monitoring equipment for installation by the ENGINEER.
6. Record drawings of City facilities and other relevant City information of record in project
area.
7. Provide City personnel and equipment to field locate existing City facilities for field review of
existing sewers of interest (i.e. alleys) by the ENGINEER.
8. Projected land use assumptions for the proposed study area.
9. Record drawings, if any, for any developments in the planning area.
10. Development plans and preliminary plats for new or proposed developments in the study
area.
