Idaho Avenue Meridian, ID 83642 12E: RZ 08-002 Meridian Library Parking Lot Expansion Dear Mayor and Council, We are unable to attend the Council meeting tonight but wanted to offer our input regarding RZ 08-002 Meridian Library Parking Lot Expansion. The Library District has worked with our neighborhood since early in their planning process. They have shared their design and provided a forum for residents to provide feedback. We have no concerns with their plan to rezone the property at 1727 Leisure Lane and construct additional parking for the library. Our agreement to this project is based upon the plans by the Library District to keep Leisure Lane as a private drive. We appreciate the adjustment by Planning and Zoning to remove any requirement that a portion of Leisure Lane be dedicated as a public roadway as we would not support making it public. Another concern raised by Planning and Zoning that may arise for you as well is the interaction of the Library District project and the pending plans to install city water and sewer services to the residents of Leisure Lane. The Library is aware that we are pursuing this work and has accommodated it in their plans. We will continue to communicate with them so that our projects do not conflict and are confident that they will continue to do the same. Sincerely, Tino & Janet Sanchez
