Ordinance No. AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MERIDIAN, ADA COUNTY, IDAHO, ADOPTING THE "IDAHO MOTOR VEHICLE LAWS"; PROVIDING THAT THREE COPIES OF SAID LAWS DULY CERTIFIED SHALL BE KEPT ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH, AND FIXING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MERIDIAN, ADA COUNTY, IDAHO: Section 1. There is hereby adopted for the purpose of governing the traffic on highways and streets within the City of Meridian, the laws of the State of Idaho being particularly Title 49, Idaho Code, as presently in effect or as may hereafter be amended by the legislature and as contained in that certain volume "Idaho Motor Vehicle Laws", revised through the acts by the 44th Legislative Session, 1977, published by authority of the Idaho Transportation Department, as the same may be revised by the legislature or by the governing body of the City of Meridian. And the same are hereby adopted and incorporated as an ordinance of the City as fully as though set forth at length herein. Section 2. Three copies of the Idaho Motox Vehicle Laws, together with all amendments thereto, all duly certified by the City Clerk, shall be kept on file in the office of the City Clerk for use and examination of and by the public. Section 3. All ordinances of the City of Meridian in con- flict herewith, are hereby repealed as of the effective date and time of this ordinance. Section 4. WHEREAS, there is an emergency therefor, which emergency is declared to exist, this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage, approval and publica- tion as required by law.
