HomeMy WebLinkAbout1977-12-29 NOTICE OF HEARING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, That the City Council of the City of Meridian shall hold a public hearing to hear testimony and comments and receive any statements or written testimony as may concern the adoption of an Area of Impact by the City of Meridian. Any persons desiring to submit oral testimony shall sign up on the hearing roster by 5:00 o'clock p.m., December 29, 1977, at the City Hall at the Clerk's Office. Oral testimony shall be limited to five (5) minutes per person. Written comments and statements must be received in the Clerk's Office no later than 5:00 o'clock p.m., December 29, 1977. Said hearing is set for 7:30 p.m., December 29, 1977, at the City Hall, City of Peridian, Idaho. This Hearing, and Notice thereof is held pursuant to Section 67-6523, Idaho Code. ORDINANCE NO. ~L~ AN ORDTNAIdCE OF THE CITY OF MERIDIAN, ADOPTING AN AREA OF IMPACT AS REQUIRED UNDER CHAPTER 65, TITLE 67, IDAHO CODE; WHEREAS, the City Council and the Mayor of the City of Meridian, after hearings conducted pursuant to Chapter 65, Title 67, Idaho Code, and specifically Section 67-6523, Idaho Code, have concludecT~that it is in-the best interest of the City to adopt an Area of Impact to protect the public health, safety, and welfare of the City and people of Meridian; BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF TIIE CITY OF MERIDIAN, ADA COUNTY, IDAHO: - Section 1. The Area of Impact as required to be adopted by the City of Meridian shall be as generally described below and shall encompass all land contained within said boundaries: County line on the West, highway 20--26 on the North, Cloverdale on the East. as far South as the Freeway-Overland area, then including 5 Diile, 8 Mile, and 10 Mile creek drainage but extending no farther East than Cole Road or the New York canal whichever comes first, then returning West to the County line in the ,general vicinity of the Rawson canal. The attached map showing the said Area of Impact is adopted for purposes of clarifying and more particularly showing the Area of Impact. Section 3. I~IHEREAS, this Ordinance is being adopted under the emergency provisions of Chapter 65, Title 67, Idaho Code, and WHEREAS there is an emergency which has been declared to t~xist, this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and approval; PROVIDED HOWEVER, as required under Section 67-6523, Idaho Code, this Ordinance shall cease to b~ effective 120 days after its passage.
