Thank you for the opportunity to comment on this notice. This development is 0.5 miles south of US 20-
26(Chinden Blvd.)/Ten Mile intersection. The development plan (Exhibit A) does not show a collector road
as shown in City of Meridian Comprehensive Plan, Figure VI-8A, North Meridian circulation plan. The
intention for the collector road system shown is to encourage shorter local trips to use the local road system.
Lack of that higher level connectivity will result in more of these shorter trips needing to use the regional
highway, US 20-26.
We are trying to preserve the US 20 corridor. The Ten Mile/Chinden intersection is currently a 2 way stop
condition. There are no state or federal-aid funds available to improve this intersection. Is there any traffic
analysis that shows impacts to the Ten Mile/Chinden intersection? If so we would like to review this traffic
analysis before the comment period closes.
