April 17, 2003 Mr. Brad Hawkins-Clark Meridian Planning & Zoning Department 660 East Watertower, Suite 200 Meridian, ID 83642 Re: Vacation Application Dear Brad: Attached is a vacation application with the required forms to vacate three easements in Presidential Subdivision. These easements were created when the plat was recorded and are for domestic water and sewer mains only. No otherpublic utility easements are being vacated. These easements need to be vacated, because the owner of the property may want to relocate the water and/or sewer mains at some point in the future to meet the needs of a potential buyer of one. of the lots. We would therefore like to change the form of the existing easements only. They need to be changed from easements which were approved and created by the City Council to easements which are approved and created by the city staff.. To do that, we are submitting with this letter two packages. The first package is the vacation application to start the vacation process. The second package consists of descriptions of the existing easements which can be used to create new easements approved by the city staff. In the future, if we need to relocate the water and/or sewer mains, we-can modify the affected easements with staff's consent and avoid a City Council review and hearing. Please attach a standard easement form to the property descriptions included with this letter and return them to me. I will forward them to the property owner to be signed and recorded.
