The IT Department respectfully requests that the following item be placed on the July 22 City
Council Agenda under Department Report.
Award of VoIP Citv Hall Network Solution per "Request for Proposal #IT-08-002" and
authorization to enter into a standard Citv Contract and have Mavor siqn and Citv
Clerk to attest. The Request for Proposal process was followed per the City's
Purchasing Policy and followed a thorough investigative and demo process. The RFP
was issued on April 21, 2008 and proposals were received May 20, 2008. An
evaluation committee consisting of Terry Paternoster, David Tiede and Keith
Danielson reviewed all responses with the assistance of the Purchasing Agent.
Recommended Council Action: Approve award and authorize entering into a
Standard City Contract with Valcom, Inc. for a City Hall Network Solution for
the Not-To-Exceed amount of $100,000.00 authorize the Mayor to sign and City
Clerk to attest.
