1.3 GENERAI. REQUIREMENTS - PRELIMINARY/FINAL PLAT
1.3:1 Attached is a dra~ving ~lelineafing fhe existing an~l proposed improvements at the
end' of Carlton Street. No sicle~valk currenfly exists along E. Carlton, and the
exisfing pave.ment of E. Carlton St.reet ends abruptly. The ACHD plan review staff
req.uested the addifion of a radius to allo~v easier maintenance by fhe street cleaner.
The Cottage Homes Addition Sub~livision, platted in 1897, did not take info
consideration drainage treatment for E. Carlton Street. We were reguired to install
rolled curb, a drop inlet arrd sanci and grease trap to accommodate existing nublic
drainage. ACHD has revie~ved this application ancl has determined thaf, side~valk
~vill not be required since ~ve abut the end of Caelton. The slrared drive~vay ~vill be
paved with ~sphRlt. The fact that this a~rea is completely developed leaves us at a.
disaclvantage ~vhen trying to retrofit to ne~v urban standards. We respectfully
request,that concrete side~vatk rrot be req.uired for this subdivision.
