I am unable to attend the hearing. Please convey to appropriate individuals my concern that this type of convenience store seems contrary to the character of the neighborhood that I envisioned when we purchased a home in the Vienna Woods sub-division. It is contrary to what I envisioned for the following reasons: 1) increase in 24 hour vehicular traffic; 2) robbery potential in this type of store; 3) potential for out-of-control behaviors due to ease of liquor purchases; and 4) entre' to other stoxes that tend to decrease rather than irncrease property values in the area. I would rather see specialty stores and businesses with unique store front architecture (e.g., Heritage Commons) that will draw mid-to upper-scale patronage during normal business hours. There are already 3 gas stations within 1 to 3 miles, so another is not needed. Val. C.
