Dear Meridian City Commission:
I am writing this letter in behalf of Michelle. Hutchings, who is an applicant trying to change the
Conditional Use Permit currently owned by Conndra Steeves Daycare to the Conditional Use Permit
owned by Michelle Hutchings of Harmony Preschool.
I was privileged to work with Michelle Hutchings this past year as she functioned as the director of
the daycare/preschool.. Michelle not only worked as a skilled director, she was also a polished
business woman and a compassionate child care worker.
As a director, Michelle was very organized and effective. She put many hours into planning and
organizing curriculum well ahead of schedule. Supplies and materials were always ready and
prepared for the days' activities.
Michelle was also very good at communicating with both her staff and the families involved. She
always kept people informed through a variety of means including email, traditional mail,
telephone, and in-person conversations. Michelle also effectively used communications with the
neighbors of the business and strived to address any questions or concerns they may have.
Michelle was very diligent in making sure the facility always complied with city rules and

regulations, including training for personnel and providing a clean and safe atmosphere for the
children.
And, most of all, Michelle provided a loving and beneficial environment for the children with which
she was involved. She is both caring .and professionally trained to encourage, teach, and nurture
young minds. I wholeheartedly endorse Michelle Hutchings in her request to acquire this
conditional use permit for Harmony Preschool.
