Applications: Modification to final plat landscape plan
Highlights of Proposed Request: The street buffer landscaping plan approved along Locust
Grove and McMillan creates a wall of trees that would restrict visibility to the property. For this
reason, a modification is requested to relocate some of the street buffer trees to be internal. The
minimum required number of street trees will still be rnaintained with the proposed, revised
landscape plan.
Staff Recommendation: Approval; with the condition that an additional tree be added to the
landscape buffer along Locust Grove Road.
Written Testimonq since Staff Report: None
Outstanding Issue(s) for City Council: The City prefers detached sidewalks. If we succeed in
getting a detached sidewalk from ACHD, there remains a question as to whom shall be
responsible for mairitaining the planter area between curb and sidewalk along McMillan and
Locust Grove. This area is not graphically depicted on the proposed landscape plan, but ACHD
is in the design process now.
