Subject: Cammann Park Sub on agenda tonight
It appears that there may have been a little confusion with this application on our end, due to the nature of the
City requiring a plat. I have attached a memo that addresses the shared driveways.
I will not be in attendance at the City Council meeting tonight but would appreciate it if the Meridian staff would
note on the record that this memo has been received by the City and that ACHD may restrict access in the
future, per the memo.
Thanks,
Christy

RE: Cammann Park Subdivision
Dear Applicant,

On February 29, 2008, the Ada County Highway District submitted comments for MCZC-08-007, an
application for a medicai building on one of the two proposed lots. That site plan proposed cross
access to the two existing driveways on the developed western lot. ACHD encourages cross access
and shared driveways when possible.
The two existing driveways, one located on Cherry Lane (a principal arterial), and the other on 8~'
Street (a collector roadway) do not meet the spacing requirements from a signalized intersection.
These driveways currently operate as full movement without any restrictions. Because this
application is only a re-plat of two existing lots, ACHD will not require any modification of
driveways with the final plat.
However, ACHD may restrict these driveways in the future if safety issues are identified and/or as
volumes increase on the adjacent roadways. Both the City and the Applicant should be aware of
this.
Please feel free to contact me at 387-6144 if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Christy Little
