Beumeler, Wayne Crookston, Paul Stutzman, Jim Johnson, Gary Smith, Bill Gordon, Colleen LoMay, Wayne Skiver, Moe & Helen Alidjani,: The Motion was made by Tolsma and seconded by Giesler to approve the minutes of the previous meeting held June 6, 1989 as written: Motion Carried: All Yea: ITEM #1: FINDINGS OF FACT & CONCLUSIONS ON VARIANCE REQUEST BY KENNETH ECK FOR FENCE: Tolsma made a motion and Myers seconded it that the City Council of the City of Meridian does hereby adopt and approves these Findings of Fact and Conclusions. Roll Call Vote: Morrow - Yea; Giesler - Yea; Myers - Yea; Tolsma - Yea; Motion Carried: All Yea: Morrow made the motion and Tolsma seconded it to approve the Variance for Kenneth Eck. Motion Carried: All Yea: ITEM #2 on the Agenda was cancelled per a phone call from Mrs. Byington. ITEM #3: PETER C0VIN0, JR.: USE OF OLD INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL: Mr. Covino was not in attendance. DEPARTMENT REPORTS: Morrow: Has been having reception problem with Channels 2 & 4, asked if other people had been complaining-about poor ,:reception since the tower was built. Crookston: Talked about the GVW Ordinance, it should be ready by the next meeting. Tolsma: Asked if Hoff Building came in and got a building permit. Smith: Talked about Census Population & Transportation Plan. Also about changing the street name from Claybourne to N.E. 10th. Myers made a Motion and Tolsma seconded it to approve of this street name change. Motion Carried: All Yea: Giesler: Asked Gary to see about having some signs repaired and painting the inter- sections. Myers: Also asked Gary to see about getting some City Limit signs put on I-84. WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Council of the City of Meridian, State of Idaho, have concluded that it is in the best interests of said City to amend Chapter 3, Title 10, of the Revised and Compiled Ordinances of the City of Meridian to provide for a limitation of commercial or industrial vehicle parking in other than commercial or industrial zoned districts, and WHEREAS, Section 10-308 was specifically reserved for a parking provision relating to the parking of commercial and industrial vehicles. That Section 10-308 of Chapter 3, Title 10 of the Revised and Compiled Ordinances of the City of Meridian, previously reserved, is hereby amended and re-adopted and shall read as follows: ii 10-308 PARKING OF COMMERCIAL VEHICLES IN EXCESS OF 30,000 POUNDS LICENSED GROSS VEHICLE WEIGHT: No person shall park any commercial or industrial vehicle which has a licensed gross vehicle weight in excess of 30,000 pounds in the City except in commercial or industrial zoned districts or except for the purposes stated in 10-307C. SECTION 2. EFFECTIVE DATE: WHEREAS, there is an emergency therefor, which emergency is declared to exist, this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication according to law.
