Re: Proposed Agenda Item for May 27, 2008 City Gouncil Meeting
The Public Woeks Department respectfully requests the following item be placed on the May 27 City
Council agenda, under department reports, for Council's consideration:
Countv Developments Located in the Impact Area Requestinq Services. Several County
Developments within the City of Meridian's impact area have approached the Public Works Department
requesting water and sewer services. Issues that are related to them connecting to City services
include:
• Annexation
• Funding sources for infcastructure irnpcovements
• Fee waiver requests
• Existing infrastructure analysis for integrity
• Fire flow requirements
• Single point of services connection viability
• Consent orders from DEQ for contamination of the Counry subdi~ision's water system.
The Public Works Department is seeking direction from Council with regard to the
approach for County Developments that wish to connect to City services.
