Additional work is required for the North Black Cat Trunk Sewer. This change order consists of the following work. This makes the total changes from Change Order No.1 through 8 equal to 3.28% of the original contract amount • Due to unforeseen conditions Brown Construction imported an additional 9,069 cubic yards in Mare. • Three additional manholes were added to the North Black Cat Trunk Sewer. • A time extension of 23 days was requested by Brown Construction far hauling in Import backfill material. Brown Construction, Inc, has submitted cost estimates for these change orders as summarized below: • Change Order Na. 6 $0.00 • Change Order No. 7 $24,721.00 • Change Order No. 8 $13,166.00 • Summary of Change Orders 6, 7 and 8 $37,887.00 Recommended Council Action: The Public Works bepartment recommends that City Council approves Change Orders No. 6, 7 and 8 for the North Black Cat Trunk Sewer with Brown Construction, Inc. for $37,887.00 and authorize the Mayor to sign them.
